Be a part of the fun…join us for the most exciting and unique mixed doubles tournament held in Knoxville! In fact, it has twice been awarded the Tennessee Tennis Association Special Event Tournament of the Year Award. Proceeds from the Labor of Love Tennis Classic will be used to fund much-need equipment, programs and facility improvements to benefit the healthcare of East Tennesseans.

Join fellow tennis players at Cedar Bluff Racquet Club (9201 Fox Lonas Road in Knoxville) on Saturday, May 3, 2008. Play will begin at 9:00 a.m. and players will be divided into A and B flights with a 32-player draw in each division. There will be consolation prizes for each division, with subsequent losers going into the “Turkey Pot” flight. Winners and runner-up prizes will be awarded in each flight. Finals will be played at Cedar Bluff Racquet Club.

Couples will not begin play together, but with assigned partners. Players will have different partners in each round. A self-adjusting handicap will be used and will be explained at the Friday night party and before play begins on Saturday. Match winners will be the team to first reach five games. A twelve point tie-breaker will be played at four-all.

Fun and prizes!
All players will receive a T-shirt with award-winning cartoonist Charlie Daniel’s cartoon on the back, a goody bag, breakfast and lunch on the day of the tournament. There will be more than 100 grand slam prizes including weekend getaways and gift certificates to area restaurants, sporting goods and clothing stores. In addition, all players and sponsors are invited to the Friday night pre-tournament party on May 2, 2008.
